We will have a free Beginner Drop In Lesson and a social dance followed by a Blues Night back at the Vandenberg Room (UM campus) ! Mark your calendar for this awesome double-dance night! Ann Arbor is hosting its first weekend of workshops & dance parties featuring just BALBOA & BLUES! Brennan DeVoe is coming to town to show us how it’s DONE, and he’ll be teaching 8 hours of classes with local phenoms Erin Morris and Brittany Morton.
As some of you may have already heard, Silvio’s Pizzeria has announced that it can no longer host SAA’s popular Blues Late Night in 2016 due to changes in the restaurant’s schedule. We were saddened by the sudden decision to end the blues night tradition on Wednesdays. Silvio’s has always been a special place in the heart of the city bringing together local dancers and visitors from out of town to the tunes of Blues! Our Blues event coordinator, Arash Ardehali, is now looking for new ways to bring back Blues to SAA. If you like to help us to find a new location, please contact him or the SAA organization team with suggestions. Thank you and stay tuned for upcoming Blues news!
