Swing Ann Arbor continues to run through the generous support of our community members — be it time, knowledge, or spirit! Whether through DJing, teaching classes, volunteering at the front desk for Wednesday Night Swing, decorating for events, or just donating time, money, or ideas, we are always in need of volunteers to help make our community stronger and more dynamic.
Interested in giving back to the Swing Ann Arbor community? Come volunteer with us! Here is how you can help:
Volunteer at the Front Desk!
This job requires taking money from people who pay the entrance fee for Wednesday Night Swing. Shifts are 45 minutes and as a thank you for volunteering, you get into the dance for free! Did we mention that our amazing Volunteer Coordinator, Toni Boger, will bring treats at the end of the month for everyone who volunteered? ‘Cause she will, and they’re delicious.

AA’s DJs are volunteers, so there are ample opportunities for you to join in each month. DJing for dances at SAA will make you a better dancer by making you think more carefully about how the dance fits into the music. If you’re nervous about getting started, all the other DJs are happy to offer advice and sample playlists to help get you up on your feet and going. Contact our DJ Coordinator Connor Cole for more information.
