Swing Ann Arbor is excited to announce our new scholarship program! Starting in August 2026, dancers will be able to apply for funding for exchanges and workshops outside of Ann Arbor. Funds will be distributed quarterly, with designated application periods 4-6 weeks before a given quarter starts, and any remaining funding being distributed on a rolling basis. The first application period for events in October-December 2026 will be open from August 16-Sept 1! Full program policies are available in this document, and linked in the application form. We hope the community will take advantage of this opportunity, and are excited to hear about everyone’s travels!
Dancers who are able are also encouraged to donate directly to the scholarship program to help grow our fund! Donations may be made by sending a PayPal transfer labeled ‘SAA Scholarship Fund Donation’ to swingannarbor@gmail.com, or by arrangement with the Treasurer, and will be added to the pool for the following year.

The goal of the SAA Scholarship program is to increase attendance of SAA community members at Lindy Hop and other vernacular jazz dance workshops and exchanges by removing financial and other barriers for SAA community members attending such events.
By supporting community members, including dancers, teachers, and DJs, to attend events, SAA increases our connection to other communities, gives dancers the opportunity to learn from new teachers, interacts with other styles and and scenes, supports the larger Lindy Hop scene, and bring their many experiences back to the SAA dance floor or classroom.
